A quick and cozy latte made with creamy oat milk, brown sugar, and warm cinnamon, perfect for busy mornings or last-minute entertaining.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 shot (1 oz / 30 ml) freshly brewed espresso or strong coffee
  • 1 cup (240 ml) oat milk (barista blend recommended)
  • 2 tablespoons packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Brew 1 shot (1 oz / 30 ml) of espresso or 1/4 cup (60 ml) of very strong coffee and set aside.
  2. In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup (240 ml) oat milk, 2 tablespoons packed brown sugar, 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon, 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional), and a pinch of salt. Stir gently to combine.
  3. Heat the mixture over medium heat for 3–4 minutes, stirring constantly to dissolve the sugar and avoid scorching. Once warm (not boiling), froth the milk using a milk frother or whisk vigorously until creamy foam forms.
  4. Pour the brewed espresso into a heatproof mug or latte glass.
  5. Slowly pour the heated oat milk mixture over the espresso, holding back the foam with a spoon. Spoon the foam on top and optionally sprinkle a pinch of cinnamon for garnish.

Notes

Use barista-style oat milk for best frothing and creaminess. Heat milk gently to about 140°F (60°C) to avoid grainy texture. Stir constantly when heating to prevent burning the brown sugar. Froth milk slowly and steadily for best microfoam. If sugar settles, stir before frothing. Can substitute coconut or almond milk but creaminess will vary. For a low-sugar version, replace brown sugar with monk fruit sweetener or stevia.
