A spooky yet delicious Halloween snack made by dipping pretzel rods in white chocolate and adding almond fingernails. This easy, no-bake treat comes together in under 20 minutes and offers a perfect salty-sweet crunch.

Ingredients

  • Pretzel rods (lightly salted preferred)
  • White chocolate chips (high quality recommended)
  • Whole raw almonds (for fingernails)
  • Parchment paper
  • Red food coloring gel (optional, for blood drips)

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet or large plate with parchment paper.
  2. Melt white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring well after each interval until mostly melted. Do not overheat.
  3. Hold a pretzel rod by the top and dip the bottom third into the melted chocolate.
  4. Tap the fork against the bowl to remove excess chocolate, ensuring a thin, even coat.
  5. Immediately place a whole almond on the tip of the chocolate-covered end while the chocolate is still wet.
  6. Place the pretzel on the parchment paper and let set at room temperature for 15-20 minutes until the chocolate is hard.
  7. Optional: Melt a tiny amount of white chocolate with red food coloring gel, place in a zip-top bag, snip a corner, and pipe small drips near the almond. Let set for 5 minutes.

Notes

Ensure pretzel rods are completely dry before dipping to prevent chocolate from sliding off. Do not refrigerate as condensation can cause the chocolate to sweat or look cloudy. If using a double boiler, keep water at a gentle simmer. For nut allergies, substitute almonds with small white chocolate chips or white M&Ms.
