These Easy Bacon Ranch Football Pinwheels are the ultimate game day snack—creamy, savory, and ready in under 20 minutes. Made with simple ingredients like cream cheese, bacon, cheddar, and ranch seasoning, they’re a crowd-pleaser that disappears fast.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 1 packet (1 ounce) ranch seasoning mix
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked until crispy and crumbled
  • 34 large flour tortillas (burrito-size, about 10 inches)
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions (optional)
  • Pinch of garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Cook the bacon. Preheat your oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment. Lay the bacon strips in a single layer and bake for 15-18 minutes until crispy. Let them cool on paper towels, then crumble into small pieces.
  2. Make the filling. In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with a hand mixer until smooth and fluffy, about 1 minute. Add the ranch seasoning mix, sour cream, and garlic powder. Beat again until everything is combined and looks like a thick, creamy dip. Scrape down the sides of the bowl.
  3. Add the mix-ins. Fold in the shredded cheddar, crumbled bacon, and chopped green onions (if using). Stir until evenly distributed. Taste and adjust with a pinch of salt or more ranch if desired.
  4. Assemble the rolls. Lay a tortilla flat on your cutting board. Spread about 1/3 to 1/2 cup of the filling evenly across the entire surface, going all the way to the edges. Use a spatula or the back of a spoon to spread it thin and even.
  5. Roll it up tight. Starting at one end, roll the tortilla tightly but not so tight that the filling squishes out the sides. Roll all the way to the end and place seam-side down.
  6. Wrap and chill. Wrap each rolled tortilla tightly in plastic wrap. Twist the ends like a candy wrapper to keep it snug. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour, but 2-3 hours is better. Overnight works great too.
  7. Slice and serve. When ready to serve, unwrap the rolls and place them on a cutting board. Using a sharp serrated knife, slice off the uneven ends. Then slice the rest into 1/2-inch to 3/4-inch rounds. Aim for about 8-10 pinwheels per large tortilla.
  8. Arrange on a platter. Place the pinwheels cut-side up on a serving platter. Serve chilled or at room temperature.

Notes

Don’t skip the chill time—it helps the pinwheels slice cleanly. Use room temperature cream cheese for smooth spreading. A serrated knife works best for clean cuts. Wipe the knife between slices for prettiest spirals. Store leftovers in an airtight container with a paper towel for up to 3 days. Freeze uncut rolls for up to 1 month.
