This easy candy corn bark is crunchy, sweet, salty, and comes together in about ten minutes of actual work. It’s the perfect last-minute treat for Halloween parties, movie nights, or any time you need something sweet without a lot of fuss.

Ingredients

  • White Chocolate Chips (340g / 12 oz)
  • Candy Corn (150g / 1 ½ cups)
  • Mini Pretzels (85g / 1 cup)
  • Vegetable Oil or Coconut Oil (1 teaspoon)
  • Optional: Sprinkles (orange and brown for fall), flaky sea salt, or a drizzle of melted dark chocolate

Instructions

  1. Line your baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  2. Place 340g (12 oz) of white chocolate chips in a medium microwave-safe bowl. Add 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil or coconut oil. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring well after each interval, until mostly melted and smooth (about 90 seconds total).
  3. While the chocolate cools slightly, measure out 150g (1 ½ cups) of candy corn and 85g (1 cup) of mini pretzels. If pretzels are large, break them into smaller pieces.
  4. Pour the candy corn and pretzels into the melted white chocolate. Fold gently with a spatula until everything is evenly coated.
  5. Scrape the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet and spread into an even layer about ¼-inch thick. If adding sprinkles or flaky sea salt, sprinkle on now.
  6. Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator for 20-30 minutes, or until the chocolate is completely firm and set.
  7. Once set, lift the parchment paper out of the baking sheet. Break the bark into irregular pieces with your hands or cut into squares with a sharp knife.

Notes

Don’t skip the oil—it stabilizes the white chocolate and prevents seizing. Work quickly once mix-ins are added. Use room temperature ingredients. Spread in a thin layer for best texture. The bark actually tastes better after a day or two as flavors meld.
