A stress-free, no-cook festive appetizer featuring rosemary cheese trees, cured meats, and assorted cheeses, perfect for holiday parties and last-minute entertaining.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 pound sliced cured meat (prosciutto, capicola, or salami)
  • 1/2 pound firm hard cheese (aged cheddar or manchego), cut into cubes or thick slices
  • 1 wedge soft cheese (brie or goat cheese)
  • Assorted crackers (water crackers and seeded crackers)
  • 4–6 large sprigs of fresh rosemary
  • Cheddar cheese slices (for wrapping rosemary)
  • Green grapes
  • Dried cranberries
  • Nuts (almonds or walnuts)
  • Fig jam or honey
  • Toothpicks or wooden skewers

Instructions

  1. Rinse fresh rosemary sprigs under cold water and pat dry thoroughly.
  2. Wrap a slice of cheddar cheese around the base of each rosemary sprig, leaving the top needles exposed, to create ‘trees’. Secure with a toothpick if necessary.
  3. Place the large serving board on the counter.
  4. Arrange the hard cheeses (cheddar cubes/slices) in a cluster on one side of the board.
  5. Place the soft cheese (brie or goat cheese) wedge nearby, ensuring space between items.
  6. Fold or roll the cured meat slices loosely and place them in the spaces between the cheeses.
  7. Fill empty spaces with crackers, nuts, grapes, and dried cranberries, balancing colors and textures.
  8. Insert the rosemary cheese trees into the board strategically to add vertical interest.
  9. Place small bowls of fig jam or honey on the board.
  10. Serve immediately at room temperature.

Notes

Let cheese sit out for 10-30 minutes before serving to bring to room temperature for better flavor. Keep rosemary trees separate until serving to prevent wilting. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 2 days.
