A quick and easy fresh cucumber dill Greek yogurt dip that comes together in 5 minutes, perfect for snacks or appetizers. This creamy, tangy, and refreshing dip is made with simple ingredients and is great for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (240 ml) plain, full-fat Greek yogurt
  • 1 medium English cucumber, peeled and finely diced or grated
  • 2 tablespoons fresh dill, finely chopped (or 1 teaspoon dried dill)
  • 1 small garlic clove, minced (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt (or to taste)
  • ¼ teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper

Instructions

  1. Peel the English cucumber and finely dice or grate it. Place the cucumber in a fine mesh strainer, sprinkle a pinch of salt, and let it drain for about 5 minutes to remove excess water.
  2. While the cucumber drains, finely chop the fresh dill and mince the garlic clove.
  3. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, lemon juice, and olive oil. Stir gently until smooth and creamy.
  4. Fold in the drained cucumber, chopped dill, and minced garlic. Season with salt and black pepper. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
  5. Optional: Chill the dip for 15–20 minutes to let the flavors meld, or serve immediately.
  6. Transfer to a serving bowl, drizzle a little olive oil on top, and garnish with dill sprigs or cucumber slices.

Notes

Drain the cucumber well to avoid a watery dip. Use full-fat Greek yogurt for best texture. Fold ingredients gently to keep cucumber pieces intact. Chilling is optional but recommended for flavor melding. Garlic is optional but adds depth. For vegan version, substitute dairy-free yogurt and add nutritional yeast for cheesy flavor.
