  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) heavy cream or whipping cream (optional)
  • 1 cup (150 g) fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 cup (150 g) fresh blueberries
  • 1 cup (130 g) kiwi slices or green grapes, halved

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line your baking sheet or pizza pan with parchment paper.
  2. Press the sugar cookie dough evenly onto the prepared pan to about 12 inches in diameter and 1/4 inch thick.
  3. Sprinkle the top lightly with granulated sugar.
  4. Bake for 12–15 minutes until edges are lightly golden and center is set but still soft.
  5. Remove from oven and let cool completely on a wire rack for at least 30 minutes.
  6. In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until smooth.
  7. If using heavy cream, whip separately until soft peaks form, then fold into cream cheese mixture.
  8. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the cooled sugar cookie crust.
  9. Arrange the fruit to create the patriotic flag design: blueberries in the top left corner, red stripes with strawberries, and white stripes with kiwi slices or green grapes.
  10. Refrigerate the finished fruit pizza for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Let the cookie crust cool completely before spreading the cream cheese layer to prevent melting. Use softened cream cheese for smooth mixing.
